Thandiwe Newton Joins Wednesday Season 2

A Variety exclusive reveals that Thandiwe Newton has signed on to appear in Wednesday season 2. Wednesday was a smash hit for Netflix in 2022, eclipsing season 4 of Stranger Things to garner “the most hours viewed in a week” for an English-language series. Wednesday follows the eponymous Addams Family daughter as she attends the creepy Nevermore Academy and uncovers dark secrets. Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzmán star in the series as Wednesday, Morticia, and Gomez Addams, as well as Christina Ricci, who played the title character in the 90s movies The Addams Family and Addams Family Values. Steve Buscemi is also appearing in the show’s sophomore season.

Thandiwe Newton is known for appearing in WestworldMission: Impossible II, and The Pursuit of Happyness, among other things, like Amazon’s 2022 spy film All the Old Knives, opposite Chris Pine. Newton’s role and the upcoming season’s overall story, are unknown at this time.

What do you think of Thandiwe Newton’s casting? Did you like Wednesday season 1? Sound off in the comments!

I enjoyed Wednesday actually a lot more than Stranger Things.

Yes it was silly and edgy, but it didn’t have the glaring plot holes and filler episodes as Stranger Things had.

Also from what I hear, Millie Bobby Brown appears to be a real b**** irl.
A real diva supposedly.
