Lizzie Gets First Trailer

I love horror films, and I didn’t even know this one would existed until a day or so ago. After seeing this trailer for Lizzie, it has hopped up to the top of my most anticipated of the year. Check the trailer out down below.

 Lizzie (2018) looks absolutely chilling. Sevigny appears to be delivering a powerhouse performance as the titular Lizzie Borden; she seems equal parts scary and somewhat sympathetic. Kristen Stewart looks fantastic too, and one of the biggest praises of the film coming out of Sundance has been Stewart and Sevigny’s chemistry. The cinematography is also a big talking point as the Lizzie trailer shows off some gorgeous visuals, as well as some chilling imagery.

I don’t know very much about Borden. I know she committed some grisly acts, and that they involved quite a number of wacks with an axe, but that’s really the extent of it. The whole trailer with the visuals, the music, and the editing, just drives home this deep feeling of unease, and that excites me as a horror fan. I know I’ll be there when the film opens on September 14th.
