How about one that we get to share photos of our pets. I have a feeling this community is much like myself and we love our pets. They are our family members!
Would love to see some of the communities pets. Just don’t expect me to dress mine up all silly. I leave that to the ladies, ya goof balls.
A pet forum could also help for raising awareness of animal issues. How to guides, tips and general helpful things for our pets.
I could foresee a pet suggestion pet folder going a long ways and getting a lot of good utility out of.
A good way to bring community members together who otherwise may not have much to agree upon.
I mean who doesn’t love their pets? You could be a far left progressive nut case, and I think we could at the very least find common ground with how much we love our little guys.
I like this. I think we should go ahead with this and create a thread for it.
This is Abe. Half bull mastiff half pittbull. All love.
Cancer took him Dec of 18. It had attacked his spleen then ruptured. By the time they got him on the OR table he had lost ‘4 units’ whatever that is of blood. He bled out on the table while they were trying to stop the bleed.
This is Ruby. My new girl. Half red lab half golden. She is 35# smaller than Abe and has done 10x more damage to my yard. Ive watched her take running leaps at my fence and blow right through the damned thing. I had to resort to putting a stake in the back yard with a 35′ lead on it to keep her in the fully fenced yard.
I’d love a pet forum to post this kinda stuff.
What a good boy!
Thanks for sharing man.
What a good looking girl there!
My house is a bit of a wayward home for these lost souls. Seems every time there is an animal in need they make it to my front door for some reason. I only take on the animals I can handle too. I don’t let it get out of hand as I have seen in other places just trying to help.
Thanks for sharing Ruby with us here Dragonbane!
This is Chewy. I had noticed this little guy running the streets of my neighborhood, here in FL it gets really hot, so hot that he ended up laying lifeless at the end of my driveway one day when I got home from work. He was sickly looking and on deaths bed. Not on my watch!
So now he is part of the family.
He was the best. Gone too soon he was only 8. The day we collected him from the pound He was put in the van then I helped my grandmother into it cause she is in a wheelchair. By the time I got round to get into the drivers seat Abe was in it looking at me like where we goin dad? didnt get a photo then but this was a bit later in the car.
When I was 8 or 9 a random car drove up in front of my yard and this woman jumped out. Walked up to me playing with the dog I had then and told em to keep my dogs in my yard.
While my dumb ass was looking at her like; uuuuhhhhh but hes right here, she dropped another dog in my lap & told me she nearly hit it on the main road thats just two houses up from the house. Kind of like an extra birthday present that year.
He looks happy
Damn man, I felt that.
For all the little tragedies that I get myself into, I always look to the best of times with them.
Never easy losing a close friend and family member. Makes my heart sink thinking about it. But all the same these are the things that make us who we are today.
Thanks for sharing that with us here.
Another reason why I think a place for our thoughts and memories would be a top idea for this place. Always being able to honor and share the stories with liked minded people. They will forever live in our hearts!
My dog Mandy smiling
With all the stuff going on in the world I can always count on this stuff putting a smile on my face and keep my hope alive in humanity.
Thanks for sharing Mandy with us here! :D Cute!
