We need a polling function on Geeks and Gamers. Anyhow, will you ever watch the Affirmative Action Awards (formerly known as the Oscars) ever again?
In all seriousness, I haven’t watched the oscars since Liam Neeson got screwed over for Schindler’s List.
I have never watched it and never will.
I forgot about that. That ticked me off too.
Can’t say for certain, but I don’t see why I would, at the moment.
Yes, a poll feature would be great.
I used to watch the Oscars quite a bit up until two years ago.
My significant other insisted we watch it. It was such a massive cringefest that I’ve never watched the Oscars since…and I never plan to again
I’ve never watched the full award show, but i’m too curiouss not to keep watching clips of it on youtube. Miss the days when songs like We Saw Your Boobs got performed on it :D
Stopped watching a few years ago – it’s overly political now.
I used to watch it in the 90s when Billy Crystal would host. Frankly, it’s become such a joke now.
A small group of out of touch Hollywood elites get together to pat themselves on the back and give each other awards whilst virtue signalling and telling the common pleb at home how they should think and vote. I honestly can’t understand how the viewing numbers for this are dropping every year. Still, I’m sure the addition of quotas will totally fix it.
If they get Ricky Gervais to host it then maybe I’d watch but even then I’d probably just wait for the compilation video on youtube.
Nope
Haven’t watched an awards show in over a decade. Just a bunch of shameless sycophants patting each other on the back for being a good member of their club or having the right politics. Many of the all-time greatest filmmakers, writers, musicians and so on, don’t even get recognized until they are past their prime.
