The king looked out from his ivory tower and saw the angry mob close in upon his keep miles from the Tower.
Some carry pitch forks others carry torches, all of them with crazed looks upon their faces. Rabble, rabble, rabble sounds thundering across the courtyards.
The King scrambled to assemble his Dukes and Knights of the Ministry, he has a plan.
“Should we send out the Calvary crusade and wipe them our Sire?” Asked The knights
“Should we maybe fall back and try to escape M’Lord?” pleaded the Dukes.
“No” said the King in a stern voice, “I have a plan and this doesn’t call for any blood shed, yet. They are to many of them for even my armies.”
“Dress like them and talk like them, get inside the mob.” Demanded the King.
This is what you tell them.
Tell the pitchfork people that the torch people are trying to steal their pitch forks.
Tell the torch people that the pitch fork people are trying to steal their torches.
The Dukes and Knights head out into the night as another angry mob who pretends to be just as outraged, but with their Kings hidden message and agenda.
It wasn’t long before the mob turned on itself. The blood shed that the mob caused itself was more blood shed than the King could have ever hoped for.
The Ivory Tower still stands to this day.
And the mobs are headed to the keep from miles away…
Some carry signs, while others carry bottles and bricks.
History is doomed to repeat for those who do not remember their history.
