I gotta be honest, I haven’t bought any PlayStation exclusives this year, I’m not really a fan of final fantasy, I’ve only ever played one resident evil game and we all know what’s happened with The Last of Us 2.
Ghost of Tsushima hasn’t been released yet, but I think it has a good shot at being Game of the Year.

I stopped caring about Mainstream popularity awards years ago.
But, let’s be honest, unless it’s a complete trainwreck, Cyberpunk 2077 will win most of he awards. Unless it’s release is after all the Award shows, in which case, The Last of Us 2 will win them all.

Some people are the label that gets attached to everyone in the anti-woke community.
All cultures have bad actors, including ours.I haven’t finished it yet but based on what I’ve played and know about the game, and what I consider woke, it isn’t woke.

Not liking something or someone liking something you don’t, doesn’t mean it’s because it’s woke.

It has a cast that can be considered diverse, and the main squad are basically eco-terrorists. These aspects were already in the original game in 1997 before getting woke was “a thing”, and nothing of the new stuff is even remotely woke. Generally entertainment coming from Japan is rarely woke, it’s a western thing.

Somehow I think the critic’s are gonna find ways to knock it down to 80’s score.
I know the scores are bull shit but when they do these awards I’m sure it matters.

June 26, 2020 at 11:20 am #172330I don’t know. I haven’t seen anything worthy so far. I don’t think FF 7 Remake lives up to the hype, and that’s coming from an FF fan. Ghosts of Tsushima looks interesting. I think that game could be a contender. Cyberpunk isn’t really my thing but I’m sure it’ll be in the running for Game of the Year when it comes out, at least with the access media, unless it commits some faux pas that offends these agenda driven people. Whether or not real gamers (which no one in access media is) like Cyberpunk when it comes out remains to be seen.

June 30, 2020 at 2:28 pm #173846Fuck no, Sony should be ashamed of themselves the cunts, putting out mediocre shite, the last epic game for PS4 wasn’t even an exclusive and that was Red Dead 2, their last exclusive of note in my opinion was Horizon Zero Dawn (despite playing as a strong independent wahman which the media went nuts for), in short fuck PlayStation I’d smash mine with a hammer if I found people more interesting.
