Tagged: Biomutant
This is not a movie masquerading as a video game. Every video game is an “experience”; but not every video game is made to be FUN.
Biomutant is “an open world, post-apocalyptic kung-fu fable”, an RPG developed by “Experiment 101” (Sweden) and published by THQ Nordic.
This is the game I have been excited about for a long time. At times I worried it would be cancelled, with so little news for so long.
Then, this:
Official Gameplay Trailer (June 24, 2020)
Exclusive Gameplay Interview (June 25, 2020)
There is still NO Release Date. The developer recognizes the game has a long way to go yet, before it is ready.
I watched the gameplay trailer earlier and it looks pretty great so far! It’s going to be on my list of games to watch and more than likely buy.
I kinda wish they wouldn’t have gone for the realistic animal look, creeps me out tbh.
Gameplay looks good.
No one talks about this one, but it does have my interest.
I love the color scheme, characters, soundtrack, customizable skill sets, and combined kung-fu/archery combat.
I hope they work on their animations though; those are sketchy.
I am a little concerned about their “narrator” (as portrayed here). They received a lot of criticism for it, and I hope they took it to heart. Apparently the narration is somewhat adjustable, but frankly I’d prefer subtitles at least part of the time, if they can’t employ voice actors.
Another day, another interview with game play!
The developers are calling the animal characters “muppets” :)
One very interesting line in this discussion @2:22:
“We’re not going to try to give you some kind of political message….”

When all but the villain are Herbivores I hope it makes kinda sense, not like that Disney Dinosaur show where a Triceratops is a Carnivore
