Hey Geeks and Gamers fam x
So, as we know our main man Jeremy was banned from Twitter and joined Parler. Who else has joined Parler? Ive followed all G+G crew i know who are on there. But I think it would be awesome if we all (the community) follow each other too

Until I joined Parler.
Parler banned me. I’ve never been banned from anything else in my life. I behave, no dirty language, no contentions words, no arguing, no copyrighted material, no flooding, I read and obey rules. Yet Parler banned me.

That’s OK, I don’t trust Parler anyway. Something’s off there, can’t put my finger on it, wasn’t there long enough to figure it out. (Well, other than requiring a phone number just to sign up, copy of DL & Selfie for verified account, and unresponsive support that features a “Tip Jar”…use of which possibly renders them more responsive.)
However, for those who still consider Parler to be haven of free speech, there is some proof to the contrary. Fair warning to those who use a particular word that often precedes “Naughty Dog” around here:
During a recent interview, Matze told CNBC: “If you can say it on the street of New York, you can say it on Parler.” But unlike on Parler, you can yell “Fuck you” at people on the streets of New York without fear of getting banished from the city. Just ask literally anyone who’s ever been there.

Essentially, Parler users are “free” to say anything that Parler deems appropriate.

I always seems to get that response from some lefty fascist when i try to explain my point of view on twitter anyway. I dont need or want to see stupid user names or pornography either. And obviously nobody should be threatening to kill someone. The rules seem clear and fine to me to be honest

You need context, its not just posting a ‘bad word’ that gets you banned, its the context and whether people just jump in on conversations swearing at people etc, which is harassment and bullying, trying to silencesome ones views with aggressive language. Its bigoted and fascist to do that. Something the left do all to often on Twatter
June 30, 2020 at 8:32 pm #173950Well, I didn’t post any bad words or images, no threats. My only correspondence was to @ParlerSupport, respectfully asking for help. And they banned me.
My account on Twitter remains unchallenged.

Social Media has made the world worse. You know it. I know it. It’s turned once rational people into rabid beasts who fear no repercussions for their reprehensible actions.
The death and elimination of Social Media like Twitter, Parler, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. would make the world a better place, and I hope to see it one day.

June 30, 2020 at 8:47 pm #173962Yes, I know, I had read it before linking it. I personally don’t even include that word in my vocabulary, so it would never be an issue for me (ironically enough…given my “banned” status).
I understand the stated context, but also it seems there has been a mismatch between what is claimed by the Parler CEO and what has actually been done. Time will tell. I hope Parler works out for everyone else. I went in blind. With knowledge of my experience, maybe others will know better what to expect.
Since my user name was banned (instead of account deleted), I’m sticking with Twitter.

June 30, 2020 at 8:49 pm #173965Yes, because I value my privacy too much to EVER give a social media platform my phone number. I am shocked so many people don’t have a problem with doing so. Twitter doesn’t require a phone number for a basic account.
