I just finished watching Harley Quinn this week, and I’m curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on the show. In my opinion, Harley Quinn is a quality show that has a mix of Robot Chicken/South Park with Batman The Animated series. It’s fun, mature, and a quality show. I really enjoyed where they took the second season, and I do hope that a third season will be made.

As it stands now, I would give Harley Quinn an 8.3 out of 10. I think there were areas where the story was a bit rushed and sometimes it relied just a little bit too much on the edginess to safe face (not that it was bad, but I felt like some parts felt almost lazy in a way). I really enjoyed what they did with the characters like Frank, Kiteman, Poison Ivy, Psycho, etc. My favorite character of the show was honestly Bane followed by Clayface.

But anyways, I’m curious what your thoughts are.

I haven’t had the opportunity to sit down and watch the full series, I’ve only seen clips on YouTube. It seems well done and a bit more out of the box in relation to many of the previous incarnations of Batman related cartoons. From what I have seen, I have enjoyed. So far my favorite clip is the Joker quip about the electric car.

For the most part, I find the characterisation of some of the characters boring from the few clips I’ve seen, which alone has put me off from watching it completely.

      Also because…Harley Quinn.

I’m picky so I’m probably gonna view it a lot more harshly than it’s most likely deserves.

I think that the series for the most part is funny and entertaining. But what I find most interesting about it is how strong the opposites in the writing and concepts are. For example, while most of the time it is slightly woke and sometimes it is very much so (the cheating and the ending) there are also some episodes going completely against it (Fables 2nd episodes and Mr Freeze). Also the quality of character adaptations (especially male ones) varies significantly IMO. But in general, if a slightly woke comedy heavy take on DC with a lot of cursing is your thing and you can accept a few slaps  in the face by the writers as the price for mostly good entertainment give this a try (and don’t quit after the first Queen of the Fables episode, as that one sets up a good one later on).
