My wife’s boyfriend bought me a Switch as a gift after my vasectomy this week. Nothing like sitting down with a cold bottle of Soylent while playing a little Animal Crossing with my wife’s 6 year old son. I need some recommendations for some games to buy, preferably ones that kids can play too.

I’d say you’re pretty well covered with Animal Crossing. Breath of the Wild might be too much excitement for you.

I heard that Breath of the Wild leans too much into the masculine fantasy. Fighting with a sword and saving a princess…so problematic.

It’s got its share of woke elements. Had no idea when I bought it, but should’ve seen it coming. Unlike most woke games, it doesn’t completely overwhelm the game itself. Most likely won’t play any sequels, but it was fun for what it was.
