I was playing Alan Wake (one of my all time favorite games) and I was driving a car. I hit a tree that could best be described as a sapling and it stopped me dead in my tracks. I could run over 6 foot “taken”, but a sapling stopped me cold.
What are some other examples of video game logic.
Slaughter thousands of enemies, ranging from the lowiest of rank and file enemy soldiers, to high level demonic warlords in gameplay: piece of cake.
Two irrelevent peons surround you in a cutscene: Oh no, I’m caught! Guess it’s prison for me.
I was playing Just Cause 3 and one piece of logic that gets me is that there is an emphasis on being sneaky with the destruction of the enemy bases; parachuting it, using the grappling hook, remote controlled bombs, etc. But it just seems like no matter what, the enemy spots you and you’re dealing with at a level 3 wanted level and you can’t hide or sneak away, you have to run out of the area then come back. Some of the neat stuff, like grappling an enemy to a propane tank, or a jeep to an air tank is made more difficult because you’re spotted as soon as you do anything.
