Who better to host than someone who hates both candidates? Trump will fare well no matter who the moderator is as he’s only ever had to deal with hostile moderators, but it definitely would be interesting to see how (and if) Joe would handle a hostile environment. I don’t see it being very likely that Joe’s handlers would approve of such a debate, but it’s an interesting idea to say the least!

Sleepy Joe can’t do anything without a teleprompter to answer the questions for him.
That is why they have been saying NO to debates, as Joe has not the stamina to last a full debate, let alone being a full-time president.
And even so, it will be from his basement on closed circuit, taped delay, etc.
I can’t see it happening LIVE, if at all.
What I can see then doing is, at the last moment, have Kamala step in (claiming technical problems) to debate Trump. After all won’t people be voting for the future president?
