Well this launch has been a little rocky for many but I’m glad to say mine hasn’t.

I’m running on medium preset because my AMD RX 480 is holding me back but i think the game still looks and runs good, i can’t afford the $1,400 to $2000 AUD I’ve seen for a RTX 3080 so i wont be upgrading anytime soon, those prices are just bullshit.

Anyway i haven’t experienced any game breaking bugs or crashing only small to moderate bugs like a medical transport fly’s away and a random NPC followed them at high speed, than a person and lounge merged to become a spinning/floating mess those 2 happened within 2 hours and haven’t again, i did find a patch of road without textures but i just drove over it and no issue.

To me these were a little funny but didn’t prevent me from continuing so i can let it go but last night i was trying to infiltrate a building quietly and there was some scafolding that looked climbable but the game didn’t agree turns out a lifting machine was around the corner so at least right now I’m avoiding scafolding incase it’s a problem.

I’m enjoying my gameplay so far focusing on Technical Aptitude, Intelligence, Cool than smaller investments into Rifles, I’m going towards a Stealth, Infiltrator, Hacker & Sniper but i haven’t looked up any guides I’m just making it up as i go, In other games of this style i enjoy this style of character so it’s a safe bet for me.

How have your experiences been so far?, Without Spoilers.

PS: While typing this on my PC i tried to go back and fix some spelling errors only to type over the next words forcing me to retype the entire sentence, That was super annoying and can i fix that or is it the Admins who fix it?

Here is my short summary of the game:

I’ve finished the game in about 27 hours. Shorter than I expected, and much shorter than their 170 hours claim. Of course I didn’t do all the optional activities. But I only left one main character arc hanging halfway through, I think I’ve exhausted all others.

Bug wise it wasn’t that bad, I didn’t get any game breaking bugs – No I’m not saying they don’t exist, I just got lucky, as I’ve encountered one literally 10 minutes into a new game while I was trying another origin story.

Plenty of other bugs however, but they were far from ruining the experience, the game was enjoyable as is.
I don’t have much to complain about performance. 2080ti, 3700x 64GB (but you are more than fine with 32 possibly even 16). Played at 3840×1600 everything at ultra, DLSS – Quality, usually averaging about 45 fps, I expected worse.

The FPS is pretty consistent, I know it might sound stupid to say but the game feels well optimized on the PC. The bugs I’ve seen are all asset and ui related
I think this game is meant to be played in HDR and with RT, if you aren’t you are missing out. It looks stunning this way.
The first few hours of the game I did not enjoy that much, it was a bit of a letdown.

The best side missions only reveal themselves late in the game, almost at the point of no return. But some of them were really great. Too bad doing side gigs clashes with the narrative urgency of the game, so I did them sparingly.

I fully expected to be able to continue side missions after finishing the main story. Sadly that is not the case, when the game ends all you get is the main menu. Of course you can reload your last save before the point of no return but that’s just not the same. This is probably the biggest letdown of the game to me. IDK how will the expansions work then? They’ll tie into the middle of the game further contradicting the urgency of the main story? But that’s a question for another day.

I’ve seen 4 of the possible endings, and hated all of them so much that it killed my determination for a second playthrough.

    I can’t afford a PC like that anymore 😢.

I’m still doing mostly side missions, I dip into a couple of mains than return to exploring.

I don’t know for certain but I heard some endings are tied to side missions.

Thanks for replying, looks like this game is getting a lot of shit and no one is interested in replying.

Some side stories has to be done to unlock a set of endings. I know of 6 endings so far, I don’t think there are any more. And to be frank I don’t like any of them.

Here I come, bumping an almost 1 month old post! :)

Pro: Awesome main story. I got attached to various characters, and due to my actions in games, some met a fate that I was not expecting that illicit a genuine reaction out of me (thank you good story telling). Decent graphics, but that is coming from a 7700K/1070, lol! Granted, I am paying on my 21:9 1440p, which did help! Forced to play on the lowest preset settings, in which I was able to get a steady 35 fps. Also, general game play was fun! Shooting, slicing, and looting was fun (but does need work done). Do yourself a favor and experience all the endings (even the secret one… shhh). One of the endings actually hit me in the feels.

Con: We all know it, but the bugs and glitches. Graphical bugs did happen time to time. Fell through the earth a few times. Watched people walk in walls, or watched them “walk” in a standing position. Did see a few t-pose, but only lasted a split second. It didn’t help with the “immersion”, but I looked passed it. Also, one bug isn’t allowing me to complete a side job, so I can’t get the achievement “complete all jobs/gigs in pacifica”, but I’ll get that in a later playthrough, along with the other 2. Overall, its there, but not as apparent as before (thanks to the few hotfixes).

I’m looking forward to future DLC/updates, so that I can do a 2nd playthrough! Hope it will be a fresh experience with a new gpu (hopefully!)

    Cheers!

Yeah I was hoping for more discussion but oh well.

Most of my experience was good and at times awesome, I decided to reload once for a different ending but I’m gonna replay it again at some point to fix up my character.

Eh, give it time. After a few DLC/Updates, people will get into the game. Many won’t play it now because of the bad publicity, and they aren’t wrong. Especially if your equipment can’t even play the game, pc or console.

Kinda hope they do some quality of life improvements to crafting, police, and gangs. Crafting is awesome, but sucks. To much clicking. Police, well they just suck all round. *kill someone*, police magically spawn, but won’t go more than a handful of blocks. I kinda wish gangs were more active. Have them drive around, do encounters with other gangs, or even take a hit out on you if your constantly annoying them. Random thoughts.

Oh yeah I gathered heaps of components and crafted some really good stuff, my character had average skill with assualt rifles but with my crafted Iconic legendary…😈.

Yes the QOL is need to bulk convert components so I can meet the needs to upgrade iconic gear like the complete set of Johnny’s cloths to legendary, I got so sick on converting one at a time I just made heaps of basic Tech Snipers and sold them so I could just buy components.
