There is a new Re:Zero game thats part visual novel. Its being made by chunsoft. Is anyone getting it? What are your hopes and expectations. Also thoughts on Season 2 but no spoilers.

I do like the anime, the second part of season 2 just started, I havent started a watching it yet. Just waiting for a a bit more episodes to come up.
The game, well, maybe I will get it at some point, but not really high priority. Its also on pc and switch. There is also the issue of censorship on consoles, I mean its a visual novel, will it be somehow censored? Usually they are, that is.
January 14, 2021 at 5:46 pm #204929I’m not sure how lewd it needs to be, but Chunsoft US has been through this dance before. I’m trusting if anything was censored the fans will bring it to light. Re:Zero isn’t ultra spicy anyway but I can see them maybe altering dialog for people who think Felix is trans when it’s just more likely he’s gay. The game is a very limited release, my local GameStop won’t even order a copy unless I ask. The gameplay seems to be about interigating people and getting information.

Will the game be considered canon? I read the author of the original light novel helps, but does it make it so… I guess it does until it doesn’t…
