So I was reading this article which quoted Pedro Pascal with this:

<li style=”text-align: left;”>“I am told what’s happening and what the plan is, but I can’t share it. They are in the expansion of this world, where there are so many unexpected surprises and timelines that are going to be dealt with. If the character were to cross over into these worlds, it will be utilized in a way that isn’t meant to be expected. I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise of whether or not characters from the show we already know are crossing over.”

The article was focusing on the fact that characters and story lines may cross over between each spin off series.  This is something that I already assumed would happen.

But the interesting thing that I read in this quote was the word timelines.  Seems like a clue to me.  You probably know that there is speculation that the Mandalorian and spinoffs will essentially retcon the Disney trilogy.  The method to making this happen in a smooth and uninsulting way would be to create multiple Star Wars timelines.

Creative writers can probably come up with multiple ways of making this happen.  The most recent idea I’ve read (not taking credit for) deals with Ezra and Ahsoka.  In the animated show Rebels Ahsoka is battling Darth Vader.  One timeline suggests that Darth Vader killed her.  This explains why her voice is heard in Rey’s head at the end of The Rise of Skywalker.

Those who are familiar enough with Rebels also know that Ezra, while travelling in the World Between Worlds, or what I call the netherworld of the Force as Yoda once called it, he was able to travel to multiple time periods in the galaxy.  When he saw Vader about to kill Ahsoka he pulled her out of there and into the netherworld with him.  She returned to her time, but alive.  This changed the timeline.  Now Vader did not kill Ahsoka.  This opens up a whole new possible timeline to be explored.  One in which maybe Luke doesn’t give in to his fear and raise his saber to young Ben.  One in which Grogu is part of Luke’s Jedi Academy.  It’s easy to assume that happened right?

Prior to the Disney trilogy I would have rejected this idea.  A purist at heart, I would have wanted to stick to a linear timeline of events.  But with the smack in the face known as The Last Jedi, which subsequently affected the entire trilogy, I more than welcome this concept now.  Let’s have an alternate timeline where Luke Skywalker can be great again as the beacon of hope that he is supposed to be.

    This is the way.

While I am willing to go with anything that reinstates the EU, let me play Devil’s Advocate here.

There is a major reason why it’s hard to believe Lucasfilm/Disney/Darth KK will ever to anything like this…

Look at what a single moment of people seeing the right version of Luke Skywalker did. One single spark turned into a raging inferno of Luke Lust. People wanted Luke Skywalker, not Mando…not Baby Yoda Grogu, and definitely not anything Disney Trilogy related. They wanted Luke Skywalker and REAL Star Wars.

So if they went ahead and actually made it possible to have alternate timelines where better Star Wars stories were pushed back to the forefront, what do you think would happen? Suddenly there would be more public side by side comparisons of REAL and GOOD Star Wars to Disney Star Wars. The Disney Trilogy and all its spawn would shrivel in the light of the real thing, and Darth KK cannot and will not have that happen.

Seriously. Just for example’s sake, you put the Thrawn Trilogy face to face in a title fight against the Disney Trilogy for all to see, which one do you think walks away? Which one, if people are free and able to see both unfiltered and next to each other do you think people would choose in the end? Which one would you think people would end up deciding is a better Sequel Trilogy? One with all the real heroes (and the introduction of the WONDERFUL Mara Jade) of Star Wars fighting against the Imperial Remnant and the clone of a crazed Jedi Master gone Dark Side, or Jake Skywalker drinking green titty milk while Rey the BESTEST EVAAAAAAAAR does it better against a Dark Empire rip off of Palps.

I think we all know the answer.

Better Star Wars will likely no be allowed to exist because it will outshine the Disney garbage.

    1) I dont trust anything Pablo the Hutt has to say. That sack of shit was activly campaigning to burn the EU to the ground in 2005. While he was supposed to be supervising continuity… Sounds to me that he is the biggest reason TCW08 were allowed to violate canon so often. Neither he or Cowgirl gave a fuck about anything that came before from their betters.

    2) As already stated Krazy KK cannot have anything prove her films are the true shit that they are. She will sabotage anything that comes down the pipe to save her ego. She is a perfect example as to why you dont put your coffee maker in charge when you quit.

Proof Jeremy doesn’t read his own forums, lol…but yeah, welcome to the party, bro.

This theory is completely legit, there’s a ton of business reasons to go through with it, and if you check out the last paragraph of the World Between Worlds section of Ahsoka’s Wookieepedia page, there may be even more alternate timelines as it quotes a canonical trading card subset penned by Filoni stating Ahsoka found another entrance to the WBW and went back in.

Star Wars now has a multi-verse.

This is awesome! I’m going to work offline and try to flow chart these timelines.
