Also, I love this version of Godzilla, he looks like one of my cats 🐱

As for my thoughts…
Let me qualify my Godzilla history. I grew up watching Godzilla movies. I was a Godzilla junkie as a kid. Every time I found one in the videostore (yes, such a place once existed) I’d rent it. My favorites were Godzilla .vs. Mecha Godzilla, Godzilla .vs. the Smog Monster, and Godzilla .vs. Gigan. I owned all of those on VHS back in the day and watched them over and over again.
But the Godzilla movie I hated the most? King Kong .vs. Godzilla…FUCK THAT MOVIE!!!! They had to freaking juice Kong to beat Godzilla by suddenly having him summon and shoot lightning from his finger tips. Fucking stupid!
And oh look….they are gonna juice him again by giving him a fucking axe!? Fuck this!
Now, I haven’t looked at any leaks because I hate looking at movie leaks. So what I’m about to say it my own gut speculation. I’ve been pretty damn sure for a long time they are going to probably stop fighting each other at one point and fight something else as a team. My original belief was it’s gonna be Mecha King Ghidora, since there was a surviving head at the end of the last movie…but I couldn’t help but see recently that there is the rumor floating that the real foe will be Mecha Godzilla, which story telling wise wouldn’t make any sense yet if you know Godzilla lore. Without the gorilla aliens even hinted at yet, I don’t know how you get to Mecha Godzilla unless you do the stupid “humans built him to fight Godzilla” bullshit version, though if they have Godzilla and Kong working together to fight Mecha Godzilla, it’s still a rip off of the original movie.
Bottom line…I’m not a fan of Kong. I hate Kong. I want Godzilla to kick his fucking ass.

I just wonder how much wokeness they’re going to put in.
The casting is also meh

But as it is basically is the big beast created by America vs the big beast created by Japan, as an Ameican movie they have to make their own juiced up to stand a chance. But Kong is just lame compared to Godzilla and not nearly as terrifying.
