So back in 2009, Toy Story and Toy Story 2 were re released in theaters as a 3D Double Feature. The films were played in 3D back to back. I had never seen the films in theaters at that time. I had seen the films on DVD but never got the chance to see them in theaters. I remember my mom took my brother and I to our local theater and we saw Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D in theaters for the first time. I was wondering if anyone else remembers when Disney and Pixar did that.
I was wondering if anyone else remembers when Disney and Pixar did that.
Did what?
Create original motion pictures?
Create films for the fans?
Want to sell merchandise fans/consumers want?
Want to make a profit?
Was family friendly?
Yay, I remember those days.
Sadly, that was a long time ago and has nothing to do with the corporation what now goes by that name.
My apologies. I mean I was wondering if anyone remembered when Disney and Pixar rereleased the first 2 Toy Story films in 3D as a Double Feature.
I remember it.
I always hated 3D. Be it the red-blue or grey eyewear.
My headaches from them made me hate the 3D fad.
And yay, I also remember when theaters used to do double features on a more regular bases.
Did a few, not many.
Yeah. 3D was always more of a gimmick to make money. The last movie I ever saw and will ever see in 3D was Avengers Endgame. The 3D wasn’t even that good and if anything it just made the film darker and harder to make out.
