Finally decided to break my silence to help friends promote an up coming literary sci-fi/fantasy convention at the end of June in Nashville, TN area. This will be a live, in-person convention (actually the 4th event since starting in 2020.) No masks, no distancing, no health checks. Never had them and never will.
Some of the authors will be Stephanie Osborn, Michael Z. Williamson, Richard F. Weyand, Amie Gibbons, and Lydia Sherrer.

Very cool. Good luck.
Hoping to make a move to Tenn sooner rather than later and get the hell out of the dumb state I live in and move someplace sane like that.
Good luck on your future relocation. Tennessee’s pointless rules were about par for the course, but with enough leeway to do the previous 2 events. (The first was in Georgia.) Though even then I get the feeling that was mostly due to the organizers approaching a venue that had been pretty much empty for more than 10 months and promising them 10s of thousands of dollars in revenue so they just kind of went along with it.
First event was in…I want to say May of 2020 in Georgia. Second event was in September of 2020 in Clarksville, TN. Third event was in February of 2021 in Clarksville again, and now this one in Mount Juliet.
Previously we had to keep a low profile to avoid getting shut down by The Man so attendence was basically invite only or word of mouth and we ended up with around 100 people each time. Now that Tennessee has removed all restrictions we’re actually promoting and trying to bump attendence up to the 150-200 mark
So the convention is happening, we’re just trying to grow it and make it better. Feel free to spread the word.
