hey all
it has been about a week since the next COd trailer dropped and about a month since BF:2042 trailer dropped i just want to give some of my thoughts about then but a few things first
my hype level for COD this year and BF 2042 is really low i will explain why below but honestly i may not even buy any of these games at all or at least wait a few months.
COD:Vanguard
for months we had been hearing about COD vanguard, first that there were troubles at sledgehammer, then it would be back to WW2 then the trailer dropped and it looked good running on the MW engine but i just could not get hyped for it like other CODs last year i got a little hyped for COD:BOCW not a whole lot but it did make me wait before buying and it was an ok game but MW:2019 i got really hyped for and loved it. if BOCW was a step back vanguard right now seems like a giant leap backwards, honestly. i maybe preorder one game a year for Playstation, this year i might not. i really thought up until the reveal event and trailer of the game they were going to throw some curveball at us around the story, but no they are playing it safe. going back to WW2, retreading old ground we have seen countless times before. i have been playing COD before the MW days we have seen all of these scenes before from the hedgerows of normandy to the deserts or north africa, stalingrad, kursk, wake island, solomon islands, norway. these are places and stories we all know before and this year they decided we need another go around at them. there was so much they could have done here. the could have done vietnam(yes i know BO had levels but not an entire game) the Falkland islands war, grenada, panama(another place BO went but only briefly) heck if they were hell bent on going back to WW2 they could have done like an alternate history game. but they are going back over the same places we have been too before countless times and honestly it just seems like a major leap backwards. i heard there were problems behind the scenes early this year so maybe that had something to do with it, but still to do another WW2 games just seems lazy to me, and warzone doesnt help matters none with no anti cheat and the same map(although i heard we are getting a new map so there is that at least) still vanguard seems like a big let down at least for now. i think after this year we need as COD fans to ask the question, should COD take a year off catch its breath before it burns out?
BF:2042 when i first saw the trailer io thought wow this is so cool then i heard there was no campaign and was turned off, because we all know they are going to charge 70 dollars for what amounts to half a game. the game only has MP this was a big reason why i never bought Black ops 4 because it has no campaign. i could understand if the game is 40 dollars with no campaign but they are going to charge sixty for half a game. if they want my money they need a whole game, it needs a decent campaign (40 hours at least) decent MP maps( i heard there was only going to be 8 maps but i might be wrong) and something a little extra(it does have that battlefield portal) i am not going to pay 60 or 70 dollars for half a game. now i will say this after a bit of time and the price comes down if they game is good i might buy it then but not at preorder or launch no matter what they offer extra, to me it seems like a ripoff.
that is all i got to say about these two games let me know what you think laters

Gaming With Geeks
having the name of a lunatic like sam maggs in the writers list of CoD vanguard is enough for me to skip this game. it’s going to suck.
