ESPN Host Sage Steele Takes Aim at Barack Obama, Vaccine Mandates and Female Journalists

ESPN may have found themselves in a tough spot on what to do about Sage Steele. What she said during an appearance on the “Uncut with Jay Cutler” podcast isn’t wrong, isn’t outlandish, but it’s not towing the party line.

Sage Steele

First, she aired her grievances with the COVID vaccine mandate that the wonderful people at the sporting wing of the “House of Mouse” have dropped on their presenters and personalities. “I work for a company that mandates it, and I had until September 30th to get it done or I’m out,” Steele told the non-Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler. “I respect everyone’s decision, I really do, but to mandate it is sick, and it’s scary to me in many ways. I just, I’m not surprised it got to this point, especially with Disney, I mean a global company like that.”

Harkening back to the prior week when Orlando Magic’s Jonathan Isaac took his stand against the NBA’s own vaccine policy, he had this tweet that Steel retweeted, galvanizing her position as outside the ideological thought bubble.

This comes after Allison Williams, a college football sideline reporter for ESPN, decided to bounce because being forced to get the jab is not what she wants, as she is currently trying to expand her family.

Sage also had a spicy take on the 44th President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama. On the same podcast, they delved into the topic of racial identity on the recently conducted census.

“If they make you choose a race, what are you gonna put? Well, both,” said Steele, who, like many North Americans, is a hybrid of different backgrounds. Steele happens to be African-American, Irish, and Italian. When she was told about Obama selecting “black” because he’s biracial, the “controversy” ensued.

“Well, congratulations to the President, that’s his thing. I think that’s fascinating considering his black dad is nowhere to be found, but his white mom and grandma raised him, but okay. You do you. I’m gonna do me.”

As an aside, Barack Obama’s half-brother, Malik, just returned from a self-imposed Twitter exile. If you are looking for bizzarro Obama, check in with the Trump-supporting Malik.

Steele continued, “Listen, I’m pretty sure my white mom was there when I was born. And my white family loves me as much as my black family.”

Feeling as though there weren’t enough red pills being thrown around, Steele talked about the harassment of female journalists, something she blamed on an individual’s choice in attire. BASED. “When you dress like that, I’m not saying you deserve the gross comments, but you know what you’re doing when you put that outfit on, too. We know what we’re doing when we put certain things on.”

Noted race hustler and occasional co-worker at ESPN Cari Champion tweeted this intellectual nugget:

Sarah Spain, ESPN’s resident finished old broad, had this for all the girls out there; slay queen:

One of the front-runners for dumbest human beings alive, Jemele Hill, hit up both topics with this pearl of wisdom (emphasis on the “dom”):

It’s a rare occurrence when you can openly look at an ESPN commentator in 2021 and say, “That’s hilarious and correct.” Sage Steele managed to do the unthinkable, be a woman and be funny. She has strong opinions on many controversial topics and has the gumption to put her name on it, which many people don’t have the courage to do. Best of luck in your future endeavors, whether they be at ESPN (not likely much longer) or wherever you find yourself – preferably doing more shows with Jay Cutler; that was quite a treat!
