Since it has a similar logo, I wanted to ask If It’s affiliated to you guys or If it was just a coincidence?
Geeks for Geeks is a computer/technology sites.
Geeks and Games is about pop-culture/sports.
So I would say no, the two are not related/affiliated with each other.
Yup, but you gotta admit their logo look alike, they even used the green color, was thinking about what happened to Tim Pool’s project: Subverse, he lost the name against them, and decided to stay as TimcastIRL, and then they asked Adam to do the same and rename his show AdamIRL into The Crigler Show. And maybe here G+G won’t lose their name but the logo will generate confusion as with Tim Pool Subverse.
Maybe paranoid but there are ways to try attack people that aren’t so evident after all. If it just a coincidence then, no problem at all.
Geeks+Gamers is almost six years old, while
GeeksForGeeks is almost thirteen years old.
I don’t see it being an issue.
Maybe one of the G+G staff might be better at clarifying it, if they have any concern on it.
Thanks Legatus, won’t press this issue anymore, just wanted to make sure some G+G members were aware of it, just remember on legal terms the company registration date is the one used when dealing with copyright issues.
Let’s hope for the best and keep rooting for Geeks + Gamers.
Check their site archives. That logo entered into use on or about August 19, 2020.
The green color match is just because Jeremy used the default computer green (it even matches the button on the LLC page).
No, they’re not related nor affiliated with us. There’s been several other copycats trying to yank our logo, so it’s no surprise. This one is probably one of the most blatant but low effort of them though lol.
