New Across the Spider-Verse Trailer Unmasks Spider-Man 2099
Today saw the release of a new trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Miles Morales has a poignant conversation with his mom while Gwen questions the morality of the Spider-People. In the multiverse, Miles clashes with Spider-Man 2099. Check it out here:
We’re all expecting big things from this follow-up, and thus far, the marketing has bolstered those hopes. Oscar Isaac’s Spider-Man 2099 looks great, and I’m intrigued by Gwen’s comment about being “the good guys.” Is she working with Spider-Man 2099? Surely she isn’t siding against Miles in a fight. It’s nice to see more interactions with Miles’ mom; she was a background player in Into the Spider-Verse while his dad got more focus. The trailer looks fantastic, both visually and in terms of story. I can’t wait to see this movie!
