      Hi.

      I’m Alex. I have a hobby YouTube channel called The Bat that hires voice actors to dub comic book lines from my favorite Batman comics. Then I take my favorite pages and do some animation and special effects, slap some music and sound effects on it then ship it to my channel.

      Batman Ego is my latest

      The Long Halloween is releasing monthly, Chapter 4 – New Year’s Eve goes out at the end of this week.

      Harley Quinn Black White & Red is releasing monthly until February. I only did some of these.

      I’m always looking for suggestions and feedback if you think you know something that fits this format.

      In the queue for this year:

      • Flash – The Button
      • Wonder Woman – Hiketeia
      • Year One
      • The Doom That Came To Gotham
      • Killing Joke
      • White Knight

      I really like that you are doing this and I like the medium of motion comics. It’s a good gateway into voice-over work. There should have been a motion comic TV show growing up. It’s something that was missing that should have been there. It’s something I would have enjoyed a ton as a kid. For some reason, I consider it an untapped niche. I am really into voices, impressions and accents, but only as a listener.

        I am not a huge comics fan personally but I really like this.  I have not seen anything similar before especially on this level.  I find it a tantalizing mix of art, voice acting and your own imagination.  You might really have something here.

          Thank you both. It really helps that the source material is so good.

          @comicsgate
          – Untapped niche isn’t something I thought about. Do you think some How To videos or a separate series on my process would be interesting?

          @Vknid
          – I get that same enjoyment.

          Is it alright if I update this thread when completed works are released?

            I don’t see any issue with that at this time.

            @TheBAT It’s more about if it is interesting to you. Some people on youtube just make channels to support their hobbies. I know some that are already successful on one channel, who will start other channels to fund their hobbies. So, it’s all about how much you are into it, how much you want to teach it, and making content. While other tubers are struggling to come up with content, you already have ideas on teaching how to do motion comics.

            I think it’s worth it if somehow, other people start doing it, too. I did like the THOR series by Russian Comic Book Geek. That was one of the best ones I saw, but tbh, I have not seen many as good as yours. Plus, getting the voices and sounds right is excellent practice for like sound engineering, but I think the most important thing is that it’s fun and satisfying. Motion comics are also “evergreen” content if they are done right, meaning that they will be appreciated and enjoyed for years after. Think about how it would be if the old timers made motion comics of Golden age and Silver age comics. Those do not exist, but to hear the voices and character for that era would have been a contribution to history of comics, you know?

            I could go on and on about how people are still fans of Mel Blanc to this day, but I think Motion comics are innovative if that it’s better than your typical essay/slide power point format and maybe less than animation, but I like comic art more than most animation that I see, unless it’s like on a Pixar level these days and even then, I think the comic artists who do their own by hand is more fun to observe. That would be a good innovation in animation one day if they could somehow combine animation tech with the art from comic artists, instead of the bug-eyed typical characters they have.

            It’s really about the energy you have to create and make content, but I don’t see many people doing motion comics last time I searched for it and it might have been years since I have.
