The Mandalorian Will air on Cable
Ahead of season 3’s March 1st premiere, Disney has announced that The Mandalorian’s series premiere will air on ABC, Freeform, and FX on Friday, February 24, at 8 P.M. EST. This comes after the success of Andor‘s broadcast premiere over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Previously, I assumed this was a desperate grab for more viewers for an excellent but underrated series. Now, I’m confused; everyone loves The Mandalorian! It’s the one thing holding onto most of Disney+’s subscribers. Who really needs to see the first episode and be convinced it’s an awesome show? It’ll be interesting to see if such a popular series sees a pronounced increase in viewership, as Andor did.
