OK so I won’t lie. I initially watched this movie so I could see Jennifer Connelly from back in the day. I have had a movie crush on her since Labyrinth. But I was actually pleasantly surprised. Sure the movie was reviewed badly back in the day but it really is decent. The storyline is nothing to write home about but it’s full of familiar actor faces from the time and the action is likeable.
All in all the movie is OK but if you are middle-aged (cough, not that I am, I just made 29 :P ) the nostalgia pushes it over the line as a fun watch. I enjoyed it and will watch it again.
Without Nostalgia – 5/10
With Nostalgia – 7/10
If you like Jennifer Connelly – 9/10

I found it to be a nice, clean, fun adventure story.
No agenda, no sjw, no woke.
IIRC, a fairly good adaption of the source material
Saturday matinee serial heroes from the 1930s through the 1950s
