Change my mind, we are built for and have to struggle.

Either we struggle/fight against the environment or in the absence of that we turn inward looking and searching for struggle.  We are not content to be content.  It’s the way we are made.

      Or put another way:

      We are Doers, not doddlers.

        Yes!  Also true I think.

I think that depends on the individual. I personally want to move to the moon and live away from all the “struggle” going on with this rock. Live in quiet. I am tired of all the problems and strife, all created by humans.

          Yup

The cycle of life: struggle and fight for peace -> gain peace -> become lazy and forget how to defend that peace -> peace crumbles -> struggle all over again

Light and dark, yin and yang, struggle and peace etc…etc…etc…

You cannot know one without the other.

Great points all.  I think we should also acknowledge there are different types of struggle but in this context I am lumping them together.

I feel like everyone experiences hardship at some point in their life. That’s just part of living.

Until you don’t then you look for it because of what I mentioned, we will essentially conjure it. That is more or less my point.  When hardship is lowered to “my fav coffee joint is closed” instead of all the other things like paying a mortgage, raising your kids or making sure you work enough to feed yourself we look for struggle in other places.
