ACLU upset that convicted murder was not afforded sex surgery

Clearly the ACLU is allowed to tweet whatever they wish and hold whatever beliefs they want.
But their words here I believe are strategically chosen to hit at a few things and overall the thought that this man should have tax payer funded surgery to make him feel better is insanity.
Understand what they are asserting here. They are putting forth that if you decide you want to live as the other sex then sex surgery is “medically necessary”. Furthermore, they are building on that premise and saying that it is essentially a human right and that tax payers should fund such a thing in an equal fashion to any other required surgery a person would need.
Now let’s factor into these assertions the specific person they are saying was treated unfairly and was caused “enormous suffering”. This man was convicted of killing and raping (yes in that order) a 14 year old girl he stabbed and a 38 year old mother he killed with a hammer.
In legal documents this man wrote that he ‘should be accorded the ‘essence of human dignity’ and be allowed to become ‘who she was meant to be”.
In my opinion society will not survive much longer entertaining ideas such as this as it is antithetical to logic, morality and anything else we held as a value prior to this country going insane.

Am I the only person to find this beyond insanity? I fully believe such statements are only made for political ends. I think this was all about inserting the ideas that sex surgery (I do not call them sex changes because that is impossible) is “medically necessary” and that because of that it becomes a human right so that tax payers must pay for it. I have zero doubt the medical lobby would love this because their coffers would be even more full of money than they are now. And if anyone is reading this and thinking, that’s nuts no one would assert such a thing to make money, you have not been paying attention because what the hell you do you think the COVID vaccine stuff was about?
If we are to concern ourselves with what SHOULD have happened to this man for what he did (again he killed and then raped dead women) I have a hard time coming up with an answer. I do not believe in the death penalty because I feel life and death is in God’s court. However, if a man killed and raped my daughter I cannot at all promise I would allow him to make it to trial. The only thing I can promise is if I sent him to hell, and I ended up there as well. I would find him and continue my torture.
