Always loved her version of that song, I remember admiring it in a warehouse at my first job back in the day.
She was always a troubled soul but I never thought she was anything but genuine.

I had never heard of her until she released that bat shit crazy video a few years back talking about how everyone left her, and her ex’s abandon her, and she was broke and going to be homeless. She said her greatest fear was dying alone and forgotten. Looks like her fears came true. I didnt see a single thing on the MSM about this, or youtube, or and of my social feed. Her death didnt even trend on X. It sucks. i never heard a bad word said about her, just didnt really know anything else about her.
“She said her greatest fear was dying alone and forgotten”
This is every human’s fear my friend. And while the most fortunate of us don’t die alone, we all do end up forgotten on this plane anyway.
She was massive popular in the 90’s from that 1 song. I think it is because there was so much feeling in it as she sang it. But she was always lashing out, wounded, confused and hurting. Never felt anything but sorrow for her.
She was most famous at the time for being on SNL and on stage tore up a picture of Pope John Paul II and called him the real evil. She knew was aware of the sex scandal stuff in the church and I think it was her way of helping but people adored Pope John Paul because he was a great pope (unlike the communist we have now). So she was raked over the coals for that. In fact I think that pretty much killed her career for the most part.
She spent a lot of years in other religions and was even a pastor in one. I think she converted to Islam shortly before dying. I don’t think she at all rebuked God I think she was searching him out and just had trouble with that as most of us do. Hopefully he had mercy on her soul and I honestly have no doubt he did.
She had a lot of issues and suffered personal tragedies. One can only hope she’s found peace.
R.I.P.
my greatest fear is getting stuck some where and dying out of a lack of oxygen. that and spiders. or flaming spiders, or flaming spiders that sing bad musicals as they slowly eat you.
(throw a little levity in here.)
