Bad Batch Status Clarified After Lucasfilm Closes Animation Studio
It was recently revealed that Lucasfilm is closing Industrial Light and Magic’s Singapore studio. This studio worked on The Clone Wars and Rebels. Joe Laron, lead director of cinematography on The Bad Batch, has Tweeted a response reaffirming the coming season 3. More Tales of the Jedi is also in the works, unaffected by the closure of the Singapore branch. Check out his Tweet here:

This is great, if unsurprising. The Bad Batch needs a satisfying conclusion, and I also enjoyed Tales of the Jedi. This is just one branch closing; it’s not like ILM is gone. I can’t wait for Bad Batch season 3 and to see what else Lucasfilm Animation comes out with, but I hate that so many people undoubtedly lost their jobs in this move.
