Was all this Censorship of STELLAR BLADE intentional & Planned?
When you understand business & the corporate world, you will understand that YES all this was planned for, even by Shift Up. But does that mean Shift Up deceived us all into buying STELLAR BLADE on false pretenses? NO. The game was patched on DAY 1, the patch was over 5GB. This means that the patch was already made beforehand. Everything worked 100% with the patch. So it was already tested & confirmed operational by the team. It’s a HUGE file when you compare it to the STELLAR BLADE game size being 30gb. It is my logical belief that Sony told Shift Up to go ahead & announce the game as UNCENSORED.
Then we had a bunch of people making massive stinks up to Sony, since Shift Up refused to self censor. Then we also had Major companies like the Makers of Dead Space Remake that took major issue with the Gore of STELLAR BLADE since Sony banned the Dead Space Remake in Japan for the gore. It sucks that it happened, I love Dead Space Remake, but their protest was understandable, it had nothing to do with actually Shift Up, they took issue with Sony’s rating system. But rest assured that had major impact as well.
Gore is always something that gets revised like crazy in video games…but then you have Mortal Kombat… how does that work? Is there a Asian restriction that does not apply to western games? Seeing how they have much more controversial stuff in their games. So with all the insanity & Sony being a Black Rock pawn, had to force Shift Up to release the 1.2 patch of STELLAR BLADE. So in my video I teach you guys how to install & what to do to make sure you are always playing the 1.0 version of the game. But even at that, Sony makes it difficult to stay on the patch. I told you guys a while ago, MAKE SURE TO BUY THE PHYSICAL COPY BECAUSE WE CANNOT TRUST SONY. Here I am right as always. Thank you for watching & stay tuned for some STELLAR BLADE videos.
Here is a question. Was is “censorship” or did they just decide to change the outfit to give it some more lace and form? Was it toned down, or just given a new look that happens to look “censored”? Sure, other were also slightly changed. But, instead of reacting, like everyone else, why not do some critical thinking?
I think the backlash from this is a bit overdone. People argue it is the principle of it, yes, I understand that. But, the outfit change could have NOT been censorship, as I already said. They could have simply decided to change some outfits for other reasons, NOT censorship. Such as one adding leggings. The Day 1 patch was something that had been worked on for awhile, and pretty much every single game get’s one now, and it always changes things. This is no different.
The spray paint on the wall was stupid to change, but that was on Sony’s end, not ShiftUp. Not their fault.
I am always 100% against censorship, but in this case I think it is different. If you look at the other outfits, many of them are far more revealing than the Bunny outfit. So, it makes no sense to just “censor” one outfit when others are much “worse”. Just think about it.
I think this is just yet another clickbait news subject that every single person is making a video on…and I am TIRED OF FIT!! My youtube feed is FULL of videos from people on this, ALL saying the SAME THING. It’s like a bunch of NPC bots all recycling the same talking points over and over to get clicks. It’s really nauseating.
My copy of the game arrives on Saturday and I’ll apply the 1.2 patch because having a little outfit change is not going to effect my game at all. Not a bit. In fact, it’s an outfit I have no interest in in the first place. The patch also fixes some other things such as combat response times, so NOT applying the patch makes your game preform worse. So, you enjoy that then.
@Darthvengeant. Now that you have your copy you can’t say it’s overblown. It’s fine to be sick of it but just don’t read or fast forward through those parts. I don’t even care about the outfit, it’s just one piece of them going back on what they said, the fact it’s such a minor change makes it all the worse, why bother if it’s such a minor deal. The bigger issue and reason I’m staying on 1.0 is b/c of the Gore censorship, Sony allowed it as a 1.0, changing that is egregious and just proof it can get worse. Just look at FF7 Remake & Rebirth changes, heck Remake had a censorship patch years later. The hard R thing is just stupid the only people I know that cared about it or heard talk about it being an issue are white people. Hopefully a leak I heard yesterday and turns out to be true is they are reverting the gore and outfit. .
@DapperJedi : What does me having the game or not have to do with me thinking this obsessive media blitz on the “censorship” is overblown? Me owning or not owning the game has nothing to do with it.
