This is levity but it’s also poignant.
AI is like “Pushie”, except now you don’t know it’s doing silly stuff and you cannot turn it off.
AI is spellcheck with a bigger vocabulary but the same rate of error and you no longer get to select the appropriate spelling it just tells you it is correct.
June 22, 2024 at 1:43 pm #320278Ai is doing amazing things, from what I have seen. They are now able to make the generated images movie slightly. I enjoy watch Ai renderings on YouTube and they are only getting better and it is happening very fast. I think Ai will pass Hollywood in about 5 years, from what I have seen. Hollywood is only harming itself by not casting better looking people.
Tuna actually showed me an Ai for creating music and I have not been able to stop messing with it, but I am very slow. I tried to write a song about the “M-She-U,” but I do not think it understood me. I wanted it to be called “M-She-U” but it wrote one called “Marvel Madness.”

AI is a tool. People using it combined with the creators of it are doing amazing things. Automation and complex automation has been around for a long time. This is the same thing but powered but a very large dataset and billions in marketing. A new market is a new revenue stream. Ask Nvidia who no longer calls themselves a maker for graphics cards. That’s now a side gig to AI hardware.
If you asked me to make you a painting of a tree. And I did so by looking at 100 paintings of a tree and took pieces of them and cobbled together a painting of a tree. Did I “create” something amazing?

The thing is, everyone knows how influences work, so you will hear it in music or see it in stories. There are so many remakes these days, that it’s hard for me to tell if Ai is more creative that the writers at this point.
It’s also been said that if there is over a 10% change or difference in something, that is considered a new creation, so it’s hard for me to say with the tree example, but with some of the images I’ve seen, they are close enough to where I am almost totally fooled.June 23, 2024 at 12:47 pm #320316See, now this is something someone like Tuna or someone like EVS, FNT or EJ should have considered. Would have been a good idea for Film Threat.
