Abigail Trailer Has Teeth

Today, Universal released the first trailer for the upcoming horror movie Abigail. Starring Melissa Barrera, Kathryn Newton, Angus Cloud, Dan Stevens, Kevin Durand, Giancarlo Esposito, and Alisha Weir, this film comes from Scream 5 and 6 directors Matt Bertinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Abigail is described as follows: “After a group of criminals kidnap the ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, they retreat to an isolated mansion, unaware that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.” Check out the trailer for Abigail here:

I don’t usually like this type of film, and I have only seen the first Scream movie, not any of the recent ones that Matt Bertinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directed. What drew my interest to Abigail is Melissa Barrera (who was fired from the newest Scream) and Angus Cloud. However, upon watching the trailer, I realized this movie has an awesome cast in general! I love Dan Stevens and Giancarlo Esposito, and Kathryn Newton is… certainly an actress that exists. The concept of Abigail is a little silly, but honestly, with this cast, I might be game.
