Geeks +Gamers is an online brand dedicated to giving honest opinions about the entertainment industry, the YouTube community, and so much more!
What We’re Looking For
Video Games
– Someone who can review the new game releases, write opinion pieces about various aspects of gaming culture, and post about the latest news stories from the industry.
Movies
– Someone who can review new movie releases each week, write opinion pieces about popular movies and cinema in general, and report on important movie news.
TV
– Someone who can follow and review TV shows episode by episode (or season by season for streaming binge-drops), write opinion pieces about television, and report on the latest TV news.
Anime
– Someone who can review anime movies and shows, write opinion pieces on popular anime past and present, and report on any new anime news.
Esports
– Someone who can cover news from the Esports world, whether that be YouTube, Twitch, Kick drama, or just news on different creators and events that are trending. Keep everyone informed about new developments, clashes with developers, or what games Esports stars are playing!
G+G/FNT
– If you’re a follower of Friday Night Tights or Geeks + Gamers, we would like someone who can cover news about meetups and interesting stories from within the 199 / Fellowship. Cover the goings-on at events for fans who couldn’t make it, give us all the rundown on Twitter feuds, and make sure everyone knows how fun and exciting our space is!
*All positions are currently volunteer-only*
Requirements
- A minimum of three articles submitted per week, which can be reviews, opinion pieces, or news stories.
- Reviews and opinion pieces must be at least 1000 words.
- Articles submitted must be original content. Plagiarism will not be tolerated!
- All candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
*Candidates should have good writing skills and a willingness to accept constructive criticism. WordPress experience is appreciated but not essential; we will train you.*
