Disney’s Newest Snow White Is Not “As White As Snow”

Disney’s newest Snow White is brown-skinned she/her/hers Colombian-Polish actress Rachel Zegler.

Zegler’s announcement (courtesy of Deadline) comes as no surprise because, as we all know, Disney has already race-swapped Ariel in the upcoming Little Mermaid remake.

This will be Zegler’s third on-screen appearance behind West Side Story, due out later this year, and Shazam! Fury of The Gods, currently in production.

While her singing talents are supposedly well established, according to director Marc Webb, “Rachel’s extraordinary vocal abilities are just the beginning of her gifts;” her range of acting ability remains to be seen. 

Zegler’s tweets have caused controversy online. It was revealed a now-deleted tweet mocked the fact that she is a brown actor portraying a white character, who was described in the original 1938 movie as having “skin as white as snow.”

Internet archivist Dataracer compiled a bunch of her tweets, including going after JK Rowling for being “transphobic.” Even going as far as advocating violence against whoever she deems transphobic and homophobic: “elbowing a transphobe, stepping on a homophobe. the joys of walking thru NYC.” 

This is who Disney cast to play Snow White. Rachel Zegler says:

•Deplatform JK Rowling & encourage violence towards her.

•Bullying of Gina Carano over pronouns.

She was also stanning Pedro Pascal – “it’s a fun time to remind you all to love pedro pascal” – and being quite upset at the Gina Carano situation involving pronouns in Twitter bios.

It seems Disney will never stop destroying heritage characters. Instead, they are pushing forward to race and gender-swap everything in existence to fit their current-day social justice agenda.
