The new era of Doctor Who has officially begun. The 60th anniversary, with David Tennant, Ncuti Gatwa, Catherine Tate, and Neil Patrick Harris, has long been filmed, and production for the first official series of this new era has finally started. The reinvented Doctor Who brand released this news in a two-part image and video announcement to their social media accounts. The new companion, Millie Gibson, also took to Twitter upon this announcement to share her excitement, saying, “First day… officially a Cardiff resident.” This news has been met with a generally positive response from fans of the series. Longtime viewers are either apathetic, barely responding to this news, or finally allowing themselves to have hope once again.
