According to The Hollywood Reporter, Evan Peters has joined threequel Tron: Ares, a follow-up to the influential 1982 sci-fi film Tron starring Jeff Bridges and its 2010 sequel, Tron: Legacy, with Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde joining Bridges. Joachim Ronning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) is directing Tron: Ares, which is set to begin filming in August in Vancouver. Jared Leto is already starring as Ares, and Peters’ role is unknown at this time.
I don’t know what to think about this movie, although it does sound like a good cast. I like the two Tron films, but I don’t know how they’ll continue the story in a third one, especially without the previous main characters.
But what do you think? Let us know in the comments!
