Winterfest started on December 13th at 9:00 AM Eastern and will last through January 3rd at 9:00 AM Eastern. You will be able to unwrap 14 gifts for 17 items in total. You can unwrap a present each day. Of the 17 items, there are 2 skins, 2 gliders, 2 wraps, 3 lobby tracks, 3 sprays, a back bling, a pickaxe, a contrail, an emote, and an emoticon. If you miss logging in one day, don’t worry; you can open presents through the end, and if you miss a day, you can open two the next day. If you go into the Item Shop and have a PC, you can get the Guff Gringle skin for free.
Holiday presents and snowball launchers are back in the game. Sgt. Winter will be riding around the island on his special holiday big rig, throwing presents.
Fortnite challenged creators to make islands for Winterfest. Their favorites are in the Winterfest Discover row during Winterfest time.
Crew members who log in during Winterfest will get the Chill-la-la-Llama back bling. He’s reactive in that he sneezes each time you eliminate someone or open a chest.
In Shop, Cozy Knit Jonesy will be back, and a new Snowdancer will be coming. These two skins are also the ones hanging out in the Winterfest Lodge, aka Cozy Lodge, along with Guff.
If you play with five different friends during Winterfest, you’ll get an emote on January 6th, Eastern. It will be called Curling Iron, and it looks like you’ll be curling mini barbells as a workout. Don’t forget to complete Winterfest-themed This Week quests to earn extra XP.
When playing with others, Augments that teammates have unlocked have a chance to pop up for you. The Super Levels of the Battle Pass are revealed; they are called Elysian, Aeon, and Halcyon.
