This October, you’ll be able to take to the stars with Geeks + Gamers! After bringing down the house at MegaCon, shooting the breeze with you in Dallas, and partying poolside in Las Vegas, Geeks + Gamers will be appearing at the very first SpaceCon in San Antonio, Texas, which is being held from October 25-27 at the Freeman Coliseum Expo Halls located at 3201 E Houston St. The Rippaverse will have a booth at this brand-new convention from PMX Events featuring founder and indie comics pioneer Eric July and the Rippaverse crew (including former Punisher writer Mike Baron and the Soska Sisters of “Black Widow: No Restraints Play,” all of whom now write for the Rippaverse), the creative minds behind Rippaverse comics like Isom, Yaira, Goodyng: The Polymath, and more. The SpaceCon Rippaverse booth will also feature special guests like our friend and Friday Night Tights co-host Gary from Nerdrotic, and the Geeks + Gamers crew will be there, too! Come on by and say hello; we’d love to talk with you and tell you how much we appreciate your support.
Exact times for the Rippaverse booth and Geeks + Gamers’ appearance will be coming soon, but you’ll want to be there the entire weekend because SpaceCon is making its debut event one for the books! Celebrities from lots of beloved sci-fi universes will be there, including Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Rosario Dawson, and Ray Park from Star Wars, and Jeri Ryan, Robert Picardo, Kate Mulgrew, Brent Spiner, and the legendary William Shatner from Star Trek. Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Michael Rooker, and MacGyver himself, Stargate SG-1’s Richard Dean Anderson, will also attend the con, along with Geeks + Gamers’ friend and Kathleen Kennedy’s worst nightmare, Gina Carano! The SpaceCon official website assures us that more guests will be announced soon, so make sure you don’t miss a minute of the fun! There’s also going to be a Friday Night Tights meet-up that you’ll want to make sure you experience for a chance to spend more time with us, and with each other; details on that will be coming soon, too!
