Actor Chance Perdomo (Gen V, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) was killed in a single-car accident today. He was only 27 and had also appeared in the After We Fell trilogy on Netflix. You can see a statement from his family made to Entertainment Weekly here, followed by a tweet from the official Gen V Twitter:
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,” a representative for Perdomo and his family said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”

This is just so sad. I’m always stunned when someone younger than me dies. I know people pass regardless of age, but it’s such a shock to the system. Chance Perdomo played Andre, one of my favorite characters in Gen V, and more importantly, this must be terrible for his family. I haven’t seen his other work, but it’s so sad to see someone cut down in their prime. He was just getting started.
RIP Chance Perdomo, October 19th, 1996-March 30th, 2024.
