A Deadline exclusive reveals that Westworld and The Nevers are leaving HBO Max. This marks the official cancellation of The Nevers, which will conclude with season 1B at its new streaming home. Deadline speculates that these series will be part of a FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV) channel offered by Warner Bros. Discovery, which also owns HBO.
I never watched The Nevers, and I won’t miss Westworld; I own the first season, and season 2 is the only other one I’d consider rewatching. As long as these shows are offered elsewhere (and I’m sure they will be; Westworld is still a big name), I see no harm in removing them from HBO Max proper (soon to be retitled Max).
