Indiana Jones 5 Addresses Mutt Williams Existence

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny director James Mangold finally discussed if Mutt Williams (played by Shia LaBeouf) in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be addressed. It was known that Shia was not involved in the fifth Indy film, but Mangold has confirmed that the audience will find out what has happened to Mutt.

The interview also included a teaser photo of the upcoming film.

Mangold describes Helena (portrayed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge) as a “catalyst.” He continues with:

“She’s a daughter of a friend of Indy’s, who we will also meet in the movie,” he says. “Helena’s gotten herself in a bit of trouble, and brings [that] to Indy’s doorstep. She’s a character who’s a wonderful set of contradictions — charming and brilliant, but also a lot of trouble.”
