Deadline reports that Paramount+ has ordered a live-action Dungeons and Dragons series adaptation. The first season will consist of eight episodes, and Rawson Marshall Thurber (Red Notice) will write and direct the pilot. eOne and Paramount Pictures are co-producing the series after collaborating on the upcoming theatrical film Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
Just like with the film, I will have to wait for more information before judging this series. The game seems more suited to the TV format, but the movie looks fun. I wonder how much shows like Stranger Things and The Legend of Vox Machina pushed Dungeons and Dragons to the forefront, enabling official DnD content like this.

DnD is the most neglected cinematic franchise. They never seem to get it right. I do not like what I am seeing and it’s really a shame. I liked the books by Jim Zub.
