In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mary Elizabeth Winstead was asked about the news that Ahsoka would get a season 2. Winstead has previously expressed interest in returning to the role of Hera Syndulla after her season 1 appearance on the Disney+ Star Wars series. Check out what she had to say about Ahsoka’s surprise recent renewal at Disney+:
“I know nothing, I say nothing. They generally keep us pretty much in the dark, which is for the best, because I would never want to say more than what I am allowed to say. So I can say that I genuinely know very little, but that is a very exciting press release and I’m really happy to hear that it’s being talked about.”

I’m happy she’s happy, but Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s portrayal of Hera is one of the weakest elements of a poor season of television. I’m not happy so much as confused about the Ahsoka renewal, as the show didn’t seem that popular or lucrative. I loved Hera in Rebels, but I loved a lot of things in that show that Ahsoka failed to translate into live-action. There’s always hope that Ahsoka will improve over time, but the show hasn’t done anything thus far to excite me.
But what do you think about Ahsoka, Winstead’s quote, Star Wars, or anything else? Let us know in the comments!
