New Season of Doctor Who Gets Lowest Ratings in Show’s History

For some reason, the entertainment industry has to be taught over and over that insulting your fans and telling them to go away doesn’t get you more customers. Doctor Who is the latest example of the – should we call something this obvious to everyone but woke cultists a “phenomenon”? – specifically, showrunner Russell T. Davies and star Ncuti Gatwa. Doctor Who has, by all accounts, been in a downward spiral for years, with Jodie Whittaker’s tenure going far into woke territory, as Nerdrotic described when he made it his number-one murdered franchise two years ago. Now, Davies (who ran the show during some of its most loved years) has returned and taken it full-bore into LGBTQ territory, with Gatwa’s Doctor being flamboyantly gay and fighting a trans-something supervillain. But the worst part is that all of these people have been insulting fans who want to watch a fun sci-fi show without being lectured about gay rights, with Gatwa telling them, “Don’t watch.”

Well, it’s fortuitous that Neil Patrick Harris appeared in one of the recent specials because the response from Doctor Who fans to Gatwa, Davies, and the rest was, “Challenge accepted.” According to That Park Place (who got the numbers from Doctor Who TV), the latest episode of the British sci-fi sensation, “Boom,” had the least amount of viewers in the show’s history, 2.04 million. You know what the previous record-holder was? The episode before it, “The Devil’s Chord,” which had 2.4 million people watching, meaning Doctor Who lost almost 400,000 viewers in a week. But you’ll never guess which episode had the lowest number of viewers before that… just kidding; of course you will. It was the episode before “The Devil’s Chord,” “Space Babies,” which was the season premiere, at 2.6 million. The show is losing hundreds of thousands of viewers each week, and that’s not surprising. Does any of this sound like fun? Moreover, would you want to give your time and money to people who talked to you like these smug idiots talked to their fans?

But, then, I wonder if Davies and Gatwa even care. The principle is the same as with Bog Iger, who refuses to make Disney movies people want to see. These aren’t artists anymore; they’re activists. Someone who is doing this to a show like Doctor Who doesn’t care if anyone watches it. He’ll happily burn it to the ground while forcing his social messaging on anyone who makes themselves sit through it. It is something akin to religious mania, the extinguishing of all rationality in favor of forcing something on anyone they can, David Koresh with a magical phone booth. And when Davies is done, a British institution that’s lasted for decades may well be gone for good. The tragic irony in this is that Davies was one of the key people who brought Doctor Who back in 2005 after everyone thought it was dead. How does one go from that to the man overseeing the show’s destruction? This is why wokeness is often described as a “mind virus.” It really does destroy the minds of formerly normal people, and what’s left resembles this season of Doctor Who.

I can’t even click on it. This is like Lil Nas X as Doctor Who. You know you are basically getting lubed up, greasy, oily, slimy KINK, instead of storytelling and art.
This is the Diddy version of Doctor Who. The Buck-breaker. The actor just doesn’t have it.

On a totally unrelated note, that guy who played Black Manta, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, would have been good recast as T’Challa in Black Panther, but again, they went for the girls instead. Bad times for fans.

Doctor Who: Pride Month.

They really dropped the ball not recasting T’Challa. Actually, scratch that, by just doing everything post-Endgame. Yea, roll with that.
