Professor Slughorn Actor Jim Broadbent Backs J.K. Rowling

Another Wizarding World actor has come forward in defense of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. Jim Broadbent, a very well-known and established British actor who played Professor Slughorn in two Harry Potter films, has said the following:
“It’s really sad. I think J.K. Rowling is amazing. I haven’t had to confront [the backlash] myself, but I would support her in that, I think, if it came to it.”
In the last few months, various actors like Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes have come forward and spoken out on Rowling’s behalf.
Fun fact for you Potter nerds out there: Jim Broadbent played Tom Felton’s (aka Draco Malfoy) dad in the 1997 film The Borrowers.
