    Really should have had like some CastleVania waltz dancers to go with the music.

      Great series man.  I grew up with Nintendo as well.  Very fond memories of awesome Christmases with awesome games.  The first Nintendo game I ever played was Castlevania 2 Simon’s Quest.  I can still hear the music.

      I still have my original NES and my SNES.  I cranked up the NES recently and it worked like a champ.  I put in a game that saved your progress and MY SAVES FROM THE 80s WERE STILL THERE!  It was called Shadowgate.  Awesome awesome game.

      Keep it up man.  Good stuff.

      Recap: I’ve finished watching the following anime in my physical media collection: Akame Ga Kill! Black Lagoon, Castlevania Season 1-4, Code Geass, Cowboy Bebop, Cross Ange, Fate/Apocrypha, Fate/Stay Night, Freezing, Garo: Vanishing Line, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Outlaw Star (my favorite), Rahxephon, Steins; Gate, The Testament of Sister New Devil and The Vision of EscaFlowne.

      Now, I’m considering adding the one anime I never considered even watching back in the day. That anime is Sailor Moon. I’m conflicted on whether I should buy the original 90’s version or the 2014 Crystal reboot. Which is the better option? Help me out, I’m open to any opinions.

      @comicsgate

      Loved the original ‘Castlevania’ series on Netfilx. Watched mainly because I’ve more chance of finishing that than the games🤣! The animation was gorgeous on it, especially during the final fight on the very last series😍. I’m going to miss Trevor (I thought his voice actor sounded familiar. Forgive me Thorin 😂) and Sypher though. Sypher and Dracula’s kid were my two faves on the previous series.

      @comicsgate : There already was a animated Castlevania show on Netflix, and it was good. It had 4 seasons. So, if people want to star somewhere, they can start there. They don’t  need to wait for Nocturne.

      Castlevania: Nocturne will focus more on the games story of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

      @Maverick
      : The new Exorcist looks bad imo. The way it is filmed and presented feels like a sitcom.

        I kind of found anime on my own, mostly because of my love and near addiction of all things Japan. My brother loves anime, but we kind of grew up a part a lot. I discover new shows/series all the time through to**ent sites because ya, you can’t find anime much here in USA unless you want to sell a kidney to get it. My Anime List has shows me some as well.

        I personally dislike the standard more popular anime’s. Not a fan of Dragon Ball, Pokemon, Sailor Moon, or Cowboy Bebop. At all.

        I like stuff like Perfect Blue, Your Name, A Silent Voice, Kimetsu No Yaiba, Parasyte, Sword Art Online. And the more American style like Trese, Castlevania, Arkane, Love, Death & Robots. I do like Kill la Kill, Date a Live, and stuff with Harem’s etc. I just love kawaii anime girls getting pissed off and or fighting!!!

        And yes, I like adult anime such as Redo of Healer, etc.

        On the topic of an animated Nintendo movie, what about an animated Metriod movie that was similar to Ghost in the Shell and make it for grown ups and have plenty of scenes of Samus being both badass in the suit and extremely sexy out of her suit?

        With Jennifer Hale voicing Samus and the guys who did Castlevania doing the animation and no wokeness.

        This is an interesting question.

        I like to think that proper animi- such as Pokemon, Sailor Moon, DragonBall, Powerpuff Girls animi- is made and done by actual Japanese studios. Stuff that is done by American studios with a similar style like the up and coming ‘Witcher’ animated film, ‘Castlevania’, Samurai Jack and Avitar: The Last Airbender (which I didn’t know until a couple of weeks ago wasn’t true animi) is animi-inspired.

        Still, even the animi inspired stuff is gorgeous to look at animation-wise (I nearly lost track what was going on during ‘Castlevania’ as a result of that lol).

        My current collection consists of Akame Ga Kill, Black Lagoon, Castlevania seasons 1 &2, Cross Ange, Fate Stay/Night, Freezing, Freezing: Vibration, Garo: Vanishing Line, Outlaw Star, The Testament of Sister New Devil and Stein;s Gate is the most recent addition.

        After I watched the first series of ‘Castlevania’ I was hesitant in carrying on as I wasn’t sure what to think of it after only four episodes. Then I just shrugged and thought “If I get part way through the second series and I don’t like it I can just stop watching it”. Turned out that I really liked it and fully enjoyed the animation style (holy SHIT but the animation on the battle on the fourth series with Death was amazing😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲!). Yes the scenes with Camila felt a bit woke with her raving on about “smelly old men” but they were a minor inconvenience.

        Finally started watching ‘Sailor Moon’ some weeks back and I’m already on the second series. Good so far😍.

        In between I did manage to make a start on ‘Castlevania’. Unfortunately the first series felt really short to give me any debate whether or not I should continue with it although I really do like the animation style.

        I need Metriod in my life! I also bought the Castlevania Anniversary Collection on Switch as soon as it was announced from Limted Run Games.
