Today, Amazon dropped the official teaser trailer for season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which was met with as much enthusiasm as the first season. Season 2 marks the return of characters Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), Elrond (Robert Aramayo), Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards), and Sauron (Charlie Vickers), to name a few.
Ironically enough, the much anticipated House of the Dragon trailer was released today as well, causing a bit of a clash but not in the typical ways of the past. Earlier this month came the announcement of the upcoming Gollum film to be produced by Peter Jackson and crew. The newly released Rings of Power teaser trailer was met with a whopping ratio and continues the show’s decline with fans. While visually a stunner, the writing and dialogue fall short of what this show is supposed to be adapted from and is a true insult to JRR Tolkien’s Magnum Opus. I had the distinct pleasure of not watching the first season and have no plans at all to view this upcoming one, set to release on August 29th. My advice to anyone: watch the Jackson trilogy and/or read the Lord of the Rings novels—they will not disappoint, unlike this mere shadow of what the stories truly are.
Those ratios though. 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/4lyP8xbiN6

Now, I open the floor to all of you, readers. What are your thoughts on the Rings of Power season 2 teaser trailer? Are you planning on viewing the second season (for giggles, or pure spite, even?), or have you given up altogether? Please comment below!
The trailer was not bad. It looked pretty good. Not really Tolkien, but it gave off fantasy vibes. Remember that old arcade game GAUNTLET? It reminded me of that. Gave season 1 5 episodes and I don’t think I’ll be back, but the thing is, all these companies have to do is make good product and fans will come around. If any of the Woke DEI token hires say stupid pity party things, that will drive people away, since the actors are the privileged ones with opportunity, that woe is me line of commentary does NOT fly with the public.
Also, on a side note, I am kind of sick of the trope of tongue and blade. Does anyone do that in real life? It is so stupid pretending to lick some blade.
