In a further attempt to diversify the content of their new production company, the Daily Wire recently released a trailer for The Hyperions, a superhero comedy starring Cary Elwes, Penelope Mitchell, and Tanner Buchanan. With the recent release of Daily Wire’s Shut In, fans from around the globe hold their breath to see what this strange new addition to the entertainment industry will do. No one could have expected this bonkers, quirky, and wacky film.
Coming March 10th, The Hyperions follows Professor Mandulbaum(Cary Elwes), an eccentric scientist who invents the Titan Badges, devices that grant their users superpowers. In 1960, this mad scientist adopted three teenagers to wield these badges against evil. Flash forward to 1979, and these teenagers have been forgotten and replaced. Dreaming of the fame and glory they once possessed, these unlikely ex-heroes will become the villains, doing whatever it takes to regain their Titan badges, including robbing the professor’s Titan Museum and taking hostages.
Beyond the insane story and fun antics, the point of interest presented in this trailer is its extreme diversity, defined by the woke left. Proving the point of many at The Daily Wire and YouTube, this film attempts to shine as an example of diversity done right. Namely: treating the diversity as not praiseworthy, writing diverse characters with flaws, and focusing on the story, plot, and characters above all else. By doing so, The Daily Wire creates a fictional universe that is truly equal and free from the current-day scruples of political correctness and bigotry. Diversity in and of itself was never the issue. However, its weaponization and the laziness writers are allowed to display as a result is a problem.
It remains to be seen if The Daily Wire will succeed in its attempt to bring balance back to the entertainment industry, but The Hyperions definitely feels like a step in the right direction.
Yeah he’s the GOAT. You should check out his little show called granite flats from BYU TV. He’s a great villain in that too
I love Cary, the best Robin Hood.
