Geeks + Gamers › Forums › Entertainment › Television › A Brief Review – ALF (1980’s)
I am old enough to remember this show from back in the day. I used to love it then but I was a much younger version of myself than now. But that aside I picked it up the series on DVD recalling how I used to like it. To my shock, it still stands up and it is just as quirky and funny as it was in the late 80’s. It is clean family fun that is unique to this day and it is truly funny.
You can snag the whole series on DVD for less than $30 or you can watch it on YT and someone started to post it there and it APPEARS to be official.
I recommend it for anyone who likes stuff from the 80’s or just enjoys clean fun.
EDIT – Here is another gem I ran across. Someone has the entire ALF Christmas Special and injected actual 80’s commercials during the breaks. Pretty neat.
I loved Alf. I grew up with him there one day a week trying to eat the cat and causing havok.
I still have my Alf stuffed animal too. :)

Ahahaha! That’s awesome!
Ironically I have it on right now as I type this at 4am.
I’ve never actually seen it in English. I have to say, the voices are a lot less exaggerated and the humor is more deadpan. I saw it in German and Spanish before, both are more exaggerated.
I watched a few episodes now. Lovely, wholesome show with a great premise and good character writing.
