A Brief Review: Black Adam

I found it redundant and frankly boring. I downloaded it, and it took me three times to get through it all. I kept pausing it and going to do other things, I came back the next day once and continued where I left off. It was like the Transformers movies with the stupid humor and the dumb bumbling character, which this movie had two of. Yes, The Rock does a good job when he is in things, but this movie just should not have been made. They have erased this now from continuity anyway, Calvin is gone as Superman for example. The next three DC movies will be pointless too, because after that it’s a restart.

Really the only thing that stands out as something I did not like was the character that could control the wind, sort of like a storm knockoff.  Her part in the story felt artificially interjected.

Couldn’t agree more on that being the only part i didn’t really like

Though personally i don’t think it has anything to do with the character, just that her acting was nothing great

Watched Black Adam, and damn was it a fun and crazy adrenaline-rush of a ride!

Great performances from Dwayne Johnson, Pierce Brosnan, and Aldis Hodge ⚡⏳🦅

Noah Centineo was a pleasent surprise, i’d only ever seen him in sappy romcom clips, but he proved he can be tons of fun with Atom Smasher

And Quintessa Swindell… ehh, she kinda sucked, she’s pretty expressionless thruout most of the movie, especially during fight scenes, which should be some emotionally intense shit for the characters, it just feels off to see her with the same non-expression pasted on her face every time she launches an attack while the others are screaming or gritting their teeth, you can see the struggle, the effort, the “i will never give up”, and then there’s Cyclone just going thru the motions, i mean not that there’s need for screaming, the opening battle Black Adam is very calm and pretty stone faced, but Dwayen Johnson manages to make him so expressive just with the subtlety in his eyes, Quintessa Swindell’s eyes look dead in comparison

Favorite part of the movie was the final battle, that final blow to the bad guy, pure epicness
